Dean College offers an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. Housed in the Dean R. Sanders '47 School of Business, the Sport Management program leverages coursework from our top-notch degrees in business management, coaching and recreation, exercise science, physical education and more. You’ll learn proven business principles and organizational management strategies while immersing yourself in the science and social impact of sport. Core courses and electives you might take include:

Build your skills, your confidence and your network as you work your way up through the sport management field.In the competitive world of Sport Management, experience is key – and at Dean, you’ll jumpstart your career right from the beginning. Gain real-world experience by participating in on- and off-campus consulting projects, where you can apply management and decision-making strategies to real-world business situations. Meet with and learn from sport industry veterans during campus visits organized by the Dean Leadership Institute and the Center for Business, Entertainment and Sport Management, our partnership with Kraft Sports + Entertainment. And complete an internship (or several) at one of the leading sports organizations in the area, like the New England Patriots, New England Revolution, Pawtucket Red Sox, Providence Bruins, WEEI Sports Radio and more.
And when you graduate, you’ll have the skills and the network needed to launch a successful career in sales and marketing, managing sports organizations and venues, working as athletic directors and coaches and so much more. You’ll find Bulldogs at places like the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, Boston Celtics, New England Patriots, Cape Cod Baseball League, WEEI Sports Radio, the YMCA, various collegiate athletic programs and so much more.

Take advantage of real-world opportunities through the unique programming that the Sport Management program has to offer.- Complete multiple, for-credit internships with a local or regional professional sports organization or venue such as Patriot Place, New England Patriots, New England Revolution and the Cape Cod Baseball League.
- Tour professional facilities and arenas, such as Gillette Stadium, the New England Revolution Training Center, and Helix Esports at Patriot Place, an esports gaming center and the official practice facility for the Boston Uprising.
- Network with experienced sport management executives through the Dean Leadership Institute, which hosts the Executive Lecture Series and Leadership in Action series throughout the year. Past speakers have included executives from The Kraft Group, Nike and so much more.
