Assistant Director of Student Accounts

Joan studied Early Education at Community College of Rhode Island, and later Massage Therapy at Trinity College in San Francisco. After graduating from Trinity, she managed the massage clinic program at the college. After relocating to the East Coast, she began her career at Tuition Management Systems.  During her 10 years at TMS, Joan enjoyed working with families on crafting payment solutions and supporting school administrators with real-time integrated financial tools.

In her current role as Assistant Director of Student Accounts, she thoroughly enjoys collaborating with parents and students on designing a unique financial blueprint, and making the Dean dream a reality. Joan is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business at Dean College, and looks forward to joining the Dean Alum Family!

Assistant Director of Financial Aid

Bethany got her start in higher education while she was a student at Dean. During her enrollment here, she was a Student Ambassador and spent many of her college breaks working for the college’s Admissions Office. After graduating from Westfield State College in 2000 with a B. A. in Communications she returned to Dean to work in both Student Financial Planning and Residence Life.

Her experience in financial aid has expanded over many years while working at private colleges in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In 2015 she returned home to Dean to be a part of the Student Financial Planning staff again this time as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid.

Director of Student Accounts and Customer Service

Jessica ’s experience as a first-generation college student has driven her commitment to helping college students and their families understand the financial process. Her career in higher education started 13 years ago at Tuition Management Systems, where she provided education payment counseling to families from over 1,500 colleges and universities. She joined the Dean family 7 years ago and cherishes the opportunity to partner with students and families in tailoring personalized financial solutions that fit their family’s needs. Jessica is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish and enjoys volunteering at Dean and at various events in the Portuguese community.

Jessica graduated Salutatorian from Bishop Keough and continued her studies in her home state of Rhode Island at Providence College. She later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor Degree in Business from Dean College. Go Bulldogs!


Customer Service Representative

After graduating from Central Connecticut State University in 2013 with a B.A. in Communication, Rachel landed a position in the Accounting and Finance Department at Hill Holliday, an advertising agency in downtown Boston. She came to Dean College in April 2018 and started in her role as a customer service representative. Rachel is very excited to be a part of the Dean family. She enjoys getting to know students and families and guiding them through the financial process.

Juliet has worked in the Financial Aid field for over 10 years. Prior to coming to Dean College in November 2016, she worked at a small private college in Boston. Juliet enjoy helping students utilize all available resources to fund their education.

Alyson grew up in Walpole, MA and graduated from Keene State College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.  While at Keene State, Alyson enjoyed working with fellow students in her roles as Student Assistant and Tour Guide.  Her drive for assisting students inspired her to pursue a career in higher education and in 2014 she became an Administrative Assistant in the office of Residence Life at Berklee College of Music. Alyson joined the Student Financial Planning team in Fall of 2016 and enjoys partnering with families and students to develop customized solutions for funding a Dean education. She enjoys volunteering and giving back to the Dean community.
