Check-In and Move-In Information for Fall 2019.
Move-in is an exciting time! We ask families and students to read this information carefully, as there will be details about where to park, what time to arrive and where you will check in.
Please check back frequently for updates.
Once on campus, you will be greeted by Community Advisors, Resident Directors and many other staff members. A move-in crew, made up of student volunteers, will be available to assist you with getting your belongings into your residence hall room. The college does provide a number of moving bins to help families transport belongings.
We do not allow students to arrive prior to move-in day, unless they have received notification that they are part of a pre-approved college group (e.g., soccer team or move-in crew). If you are a member of one of these early arrival groups, you will receive communication from the person in charge of the group about your move-in date and time.

Residential students who have received a Direct Check-In email should plan their arrival based on their residence hall assignment. Arrival windows have been designated to help reduce car waiting times and to facilitate the move-in process. (Note: You will have more time to move-in than is indicated by the arrival window times.)

In order to help expedite the unloading and move in process please adhere to the following:
- Please adhere to the Arrival Window times listed above.
- Complete all necessary paperwork prior to your arrival on campus. You will not be permitted to move in without a Direct Check In email.
- Have the Direct Check-In email readily available (either printed or on a phone) to show a staff member as you pull into a parking lot.
- Once you are directed to the unloading area, one member of your party must always stay with the vehicle.
- Once your vehicle is unloaded, please move it to the designated parking lot the staff members direct you to.
Resident students who have not received a Direct Check-In email prior to arrival on campus should plan to arrive between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. You should report directly to New Student Check-in on the Concourse of the Campus Center. There are a variety of reasons why you may not receive a Direct Check in email. Once you check in at the New Students Check-In table in the Campus Center, you will be given instructions on what needs to be completed.
Once a student has completed any outstanding tasks, students will be issued their residence hall key in the Campus Center, then directed to proceed with move in.
Commuter students should check in at the Campus Center at the New Student Check-In located on the Concourse on Monday, September 2nd beginning at 2:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m there will be a Commuter Student Meeting in the Campus Center Atrium where students will meet key college personnel, connect with their peers, and Campus Safety, who will distribute parking information and decals. Following this meeting, commuter students are invited (free of charge) to enjoy dinner in the Smith Dining Center prior to the kickoff for Bulldog Beginnings. Details are listed below.

Returning residential students who have not received a Direct Check-In email must first report to the Center for Student Financial Planning and Services, located on the first floor of Dean Hall between 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Once the student has been cleared, they may proceed to their assigned check-in location. Students who are unable to clear their bill on Tuesday, September 3rd will not be allowed to move into their residence hall, attend classes or remain on campus as a guest.
Commuter students with an outstanding balance on their account should report to the Center for Student Financial Planning and Services, located on the first floor of Dean Hall on Tuesday, September 3rd for check-in between 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Commuter students who have paid their bill in full should check in at the Commuter Check-In table, located on the Campus Center concourse, before they go to their first class on Wednesday, September 4th.
