Three Dean College Students Awarded Connecticut Broadcasters Association Scholarships
Dean College is pleased to announce three students have been recognized with scholarships from the Connecticut Broadcasters Association.
Gabriella Tomaino ’27 is an incoming first-year student who has aspired to be a sports broadcaster ever since winning the Yankees Junior Broadcaster contest when she was 10.
Tyler Lawton ’25 is an aspiring on-air radio personality who is spending this summer as an intern for Hall Communications in Norwich.
Christopher Caraballo ’24 has a demonstrated love for radio and has performed as a DJ, music director and programmer.
All three students were selected from a large pool of candidates consisting of broadcast and journalism majors from Connecticut.
The Connecticut Broadcasters Association (CBA) is a non-profit trade organization which represents the TV & Radio stations of Connecticut. Since 1995, the CBA has been providing scholarships to Connecticut students interested in careers within the broadcasting industry.
