Meet the Class of 2023 Commencement Speaker: Enrico Hernandez ’23

We are pleased to announce that Enrico Hernandez ’23 will represent the Class of 2023 as the student commencement speaker for Dean College’s 157th Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

A Sport Management major, Enrico transferred to Dean from Cerritos College in Norwalk, CA, where he earned an associate degree in Kinesiology with honors. While at Dean, Enrico became actively involved in a number of campus activities and athletics organizations, including holding positions as a community advisor, a member of the Student-Athlete Athletics Committee and a member of the football team. He was named to the 2021 and 2022 Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) All-Academic Teams, the President’s List for Fall 2021 and the Dean’s List for Spring 2022 and Fall 2022. Additionally, Enrico is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year college students that he joined while at Cerritos College, and Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field.

Between all of his involvement at Dean, it is all the moments of community that he will miss the most after graduating.

“The experiences at Dean that I’m most grateful for are becoming a community advisor, all the bus rides and Saturday mornings in the fall for football, and meeting all the incredible people I have met at Dean,” Enrico said.

After graduation, Enrico plans to continue pursuing his goal of working in sports, whether that’s as a coach or general manager for a professional sports team or as an athletic director for a high school or college.

Dean College’s 157th Commencement Exercises celebrating the Class of 2023 will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Dean College, 99 Main Street, Franklin, MA. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. on the front lawn of Dean Hall. Learn more about Dean College Commencement.
