Dean College Campus

For more than 25 years, the Dean College Theatre program has participated in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), which offers students and faculty tremendous opportunities to learn, network and share their craft with the collegiate theatre community at both the regional and national levels.

The festival, held traditionally in the final week of January, has been located in various areas of New England and New York. This year, as it was in 2021, the regional festival was presented virtually with over 800 students and 30 institutions taking part.

Dean College has maintained a continually strong presence in KCACTF, and this year was no exception. Three faculty members and 16 students from Dean took part in the virtual festival, where they engaged in professional and career-oriented workshops, Irene Ryan and Musical Theatre Auditions, and the Design, Technology and Management exposition.
